Hot pepper variety TSS-ASVEG No.2 (previously breeding line COA089) was a hybrid firstly crossed in 2004. After a series of field trials, disease evaluation, main component analysis, seed production, this F1 variety was named and granted with its variety right. The characteristics of plant was medium-sized, semi-erect, and strong-branching habit. The fruit had 2 locules, firm, and skin a little wrinkled. The fruit is highly pungent, with 7.6 cm in fruit length, 0.7 cm in width, and 2.5 g in weight. The immature fruit was green, and turned red in color at maturity. It was resistant to CMV, PVY and anthracnose, and suitable for growing season with high temperature and high humidity
