Personal pronouns have relationships with the narrative point of view and psychological distance between the author (narrator) and characters, so they are widely used in the literary and artistic works. Besides, there is impersonal category in Russian, which structure is more difficult to define the narrative point of view and the clear distinction between figures and the environment. This paper compares the two kinds of areas, their functions in the works of Chinese and Russian writers- Gao Xingjian and Bunin. Attempt to find out the effects of different language styles by using the personal and impersonal categories and the psychological distance between the author, (narrator) and characters.
