當人類堂堂邁入第二十一世紀之時,我國社會所面臨的挑戰也愈見複雜與艱辛。舉凡政治、經濟、文化、教育,都不免受到時代潮流與全球化趨勢的帶動。在政府大力推動教育改革之際,也意味著學校的經營與管理必須跟著動起來,擺脫過去不良的慣性與舊習,不斷吸收、學習新的知識,才能創造出嶄新的學校文化與願景。就台灣社會而言,我們不僅要成為一個高度e化的資訊社會,更要積極地重建國民的道德觀念,才能夠培養出具人本情懷的新世代。學校校長與教師對於道德領導是否有足夠且正確的認知,及是否體認學校有實施道德教育之必要性,應是吾人關心的焦點,因為道德領導與道德教育是實踐教育改革政策之根本議題。
As the twenty-first century comes, our society is now faced with challenges that are unpredictable and tough. It means that politics, economics, culture, and education within this country are inevitably under the influence of both the contemporary trends and globalization. The progressing educational reform by our government means that school administration and management has to move on and make progress, get rid of its bad customs, and therefore create a whole-new school culture and an attractive school vision. As for Taiwan society, it is not only to become a highly developed society with technology and information but also to become a society in which people positively reconstruct its corrupt morality so that it will cultivate its citizens and make them humanistic generations. Whether the school principal and teachers have enough and correct knowledge about moral leadership and whether they recognize the importance of moral education in schools should be our concerns because moral leadership and moral education are the essential issues to fulfill the educational reform policies.
