Under the expansion of higher education in Taiwan, educational quality is the concern for all of the society. Teacher is the key to educational quality because teaching quality depends on teachers' quality and their teaching abilities. Therefore, it is hoped that through faculty teaching professional development in universities, it can promote students' learning quality, and enhance educational competition. By documentary analysis, this study firstly illustrates the meaning and contents of teaching professional development of university faculty; secondly, the researcher discusses the implementation, forms and contents of activities for teaching professional development of university faculty, and the researcher analyzes the related influencing factors. Lastly, the study discusses the feasible strategies to develop teaching professional development of university faculty for reference.
