區域醫院員工對醫療廢棄物風險認知之探討

摘要

目的：本研究目的旨在探討區域醫院中不同單位及背景之員工對醫療廢棄物處理過程認知與風險知覺的影響，提供區域醫院相關單位在管理醫療廢棄物上的重要政策。方法：本研究針對雲林地區四所區域醫院為研究對象，共發放500份，得有效樣本375份，有效樣本回收率75.0%；並將回收後之有效樣本資料，利用統計裝軟體（SPSS 18.0、Smart PLS）進行資料分析。在統計分析方法使用上，利用單因子變異數分析檢定樣本與廢棄物處理過程認知、風險知覺間的差異，並以結構方程模式檢定廢棄物風險知覺與處理過程認知的相關性。結果：研究結果發現：不同單位、工作年資與教育程度的員工對於醫療廢棄物風險知覺有顯著性差異，對於醫療廢棄物處理過程認知僅與不同性別之員工有顯著性差異。醫療廢棄物風險知覺對處理過程認知產生正向影響。結論：此研究結果，可提供區域醫院在管理醫療廢棄物的風險知覺上的重要參考。此外，醫療廢棄物風險知覺對廢棄物處理過程認知有相關性。

Objective: This study examines the relationship between the awareness of medical waste management and the effects of risk perceptions among employees from different departments in regional hospitals.Method: Participants were selected from 4 regional hospitals in Yunlin County. Questionnaires were distributed to 500 staff with 375 completed, for a response rate of 75%. Data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 (Chicago, Il, USA) and Smart PLS (Hamburg, Germany). One-way analysis of variance was used to examine the differences between medical waste management awareness and risk perceptions. Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the relationship between risk perceptions and the awareness of medical waste management.Results: Hospital employee risk perception ratings differed across departments, working years, and educational backgrounds. Male and female employees had different medical waste management awareness ratings. Risk perceptions had a significantly positive effect on medical waste management awareness.Conclusion: The results of this research can be used to assist regional hospitals in improving medical waste management awareness and risk perceptions. Medical waste risk perception is closely related to medical waste management awareness. The results of the study provide a medical waste policy guideline for regional hospitals and related institutions.
