本研究目的旨在探討中部某醫學中心護理人員之人格特質與壓力感受之相關性,以及影響壓力感受之預測因子。研究方法採橫斷式研究設計,以毛斯里人格量表及護理壓力量表為研究工具,共收案339人。統計方法以SPSS 10.0 for windows進行分析。結果顯示臨床護理人員人格特質越傾向神經質愈內向,且其壓力感受亦越大。壓力感受以「無法完成私人工作」得分最高,而「工作關注」方面之壓力感受則最低分。影響研究對象壓力感受之重要變項有「神經質」、「外項性─內向性」、「科別」、「護理年資」以及「宗教」,可解釋全部變異量的40.3%。根據本研究結果可提供護理行政主管人事調派及有關壓力感受在職教育之參考。
This study explores the relationship between personality, perceived stress, and predictive factors of nurses in a medical center. A self-ad-ministered questionnaire following a cross sectional research design format was distributed to three hundred thirty-nine nurses. The survey also included the Maudsley Personality Inventory and Nurse Stress Checklist. Data analyzed by SPSS 10.0 for windows, revealed that the perception of stress is directly proportional to personality type, meaning that certain behavioral traits have measurable impact, i.e., neurotic, introverted or extroverted behaviors. Personal indicators used to gauge stress levels ranged from, ”I can't complete daily tasks” (high stress perception) to ”I can concentrate on my job” (low stress perception). Demographic information traced specific categories of neurotic, introverted or extroversion, ”Department”, ”Work History”, and ”Religion” predicting 40.3% of the total variance. This study and its results prove useful for hospital administration to develop policy regarding staff hire, transfer, placement and/or educational counseling.
