In the present paper, the author discusses the issues and problems concerning the development and practice of the Arts and Humanity program within the elementary school Life-Curriculum in regard to curriculum integration. Theories, literature, as well as the rationale stated in the National Curriculum Guide suggests that the three curricular components should be further organized to make it more life-based. It is argued that the current National Curriculum Guide is not conducive to effective implementation. Suggestions are made for future revision of the Guide.
