知識型社會下護理專業培養之啟示
Reflection on "Nursing Education in the Knowledge Society"

This paper reflects on the key note speech of Prof. Benner at the 2011 Macau International Nursing Symposium. The Macau nursing faculties are yet to realize and to be competent in teaching student care for patients on the most urgent need from the perspective of patients. About integrative teaching of practice and theoretical knowledge is not easy because of the entrenched mindset on biomedical model of health. Teaching on creating new knowledge based on patient and own experiences will also be challenging because of the traditional approach to teaching and nursing practice in Macau.
