台灣南部某醫學中心高危險病人於預防跌倒之認知、態度及行為

To Explore the Perception, Attitude, Behavior of Fall Prevention among High Risk Patients in a Southern Taiwan Medical Center

摘要


探討台灣南部某醫學中心高危險病人對於預防跌倒的認知、態度及行為。方法:本研究為橫斷性、描述性的調查研究,以自擬式問卷,進行資料收集。研究對象為『住院病人跌倒危險因數評估表』之分數大於3分之跌倒高危險病人。結果:共收案405位,有效問卷達86%,平均年齡64歲,有8%(28位)曾於住院期中跌倒。知識方面,完全答對36.4%,有41.8%病人不覺得自己是跌倒高危險群。曾有否跌倒經驗之受訪者,對於『我認為接受預防跌倒的護理指導可以減少跌倒發生』及『無家屬陪伴或活動需要協助時,我會請醫護人員幫忙』等,認知有顯著差異。結論:護理人員對於跌倒高危險群之住院病人,除持續加強住院期間預防跌倒的護理外,更應注意提醒及指導此類病人於日常活動中的安全防護。

Objective: The objective of this study was to explore the perceptions, attitudes, and bebavior of patients with high risk falls in a medical center in southern Taiwan. Method: A cross-section and descriptive study was conducted. The self-developed questionnaire with thirty seven items, including demographic data, fall history, perceptions, attitudes and behavior of fall prevention, was used to collect data. The participants with the score of "Check list for fall risk factor of inpatients" were greater than 3 were recruited in study. Results: There are 349 effective among 405 participants (86.17%). The average age is 64 and there are 28 patients among them experienced fall during the stay of hospital. For the perception, there are patients 36.4% (127) get the correct answers. And 41.8% patients (146) are not aware of being at high risk group. As to the agreement on "Fall might reduce thanks to the instructions of fall prevention" and "I would ask for help from medical staff while no family are available or activities require assistance", the patients who experienced fall show significant than those who never did before. Conclusion: For the inpatients of at high risk falls, nursing staff do not continue to enhance the instruction of fall prevention, but also pay more attention on the security protection on their daily activity. Especially, the patients who experienced falls are the most priority.
