Objectives: This project is an 8-week oral health education program for 35 primary school year four students. 70.0% or above students are able to brush their teeth correctly. Moreover, the project aims to help the students form a day-and-night tooth-brushing. Methods: During the 1st week of the 8-week program, lectures about oral health and tooth-brushing appliances were given. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the program, pre-and post-tests on tooth-brushing techniques were carried out during the 3rd and the 8th weeks, so as the tooth-brushing diary and the researchers' telephone follow ups. At the same time, commitment sheets were distributed in order to enhance the students' self-monitoring awareness. Results: After the program, the accuracy of tooth-brushing techniques of the students could be achieved to 85.7%.89.7% and 93.1% of the students had increased their tooth-brushing frequency during the mid-term and final evaluations respectively. The program is able to improve the accuracy of students' tooth-brushing techniques and establish a regular tooth-brushing habit.
