The Emotional Levels of Athletes Willbepositively Related to Proficiency Levels of Athletes

並列摘要

The purpose of this study was to explore the levels of emotion found among team members. The sample, drawn from universities in Taiwan, was composed of 289 table tennis team members. Level 1 Athletes were among top 3 in a national competition; Level 2 Athletes were under top 3 in a national competition; Level 3 Athletes were never played in a national competition. Levels of emotion perceived by team members were measured through responses on the Sport Emotion Test (SET). One-way analyses of variances (ANOVAs) were used to test if differences existed among the three levels of proficiency. All significant ANOVAs were followed byScheffe's multiple comparisons test to determine which proficiency levels differed significantly from others. Analyses of emotional levels over the six stages of competition are significant relationships between each athlete's reported levels of intensity, concentration and physical readiness.
