The Coronavirus Disease-2019(COVID-19) took its toll on Taiwan in 2020. A businessman returning to Taiwan from overseas was diagnosed with COVID-19 and hospitalized. During the nursing period from January 23^(rd) to April 12^(th) of 2020, the author used interviews, walkie-talkie communication, video calls, and medical records to collect data. It was found that the repetitive changes between negative and positive results in the screening report, the negative impact of media reports and limitations on daily living had caused the patient to develop a sense of anxiety about the disease while the emerging disease and long-term isolation had brought enormous pressure and further anxiety to him. Nursing interventions to alleviate anxiety and social limitations for improving self-care skills, interdisciplinary medical team cooperation and provision of positive adjustment strategies and multiple communication methods were introduced, leading to suggestions for caring for a quarantined person by paying more attention to psychological and social aspects. By utilizing various "care" interventions, we could more thoroughly understand the patient's inner feelings, thereby providing positive adjustment of the pressure from isolation.
