The purpose of this study was to explore the influences of different basketball holding positions on the free-throw percentage. Participants were 30 basketball players recruited from the basketball team of Fu Jen Catholic University, Shih Hsin University, and Hsing Wu University in the 102 academic year. With random-sampling, each participant followed the usual preparatory gestures of different basketball holding positions (abdominal formal position, chest formal position, and forehead formal position) to shoot the free-throw for 20 times. All participants' kinematics parameters were analyzed by descriptive statistics, and the correlation between each variable and the variable as well as the shooting average were analyzed by one way ANOVA. The statistical level of this study is set at α=.05. The results showed that the shooting average of different basketball holding positions had reached a significant level in the total amount (abdominal formal position>forehead formal position, chest formal position>forehead formal position), p<.05.
