高中學生參與科技競賽的動機及其與競賽成績之相關性研究

摘要


在升學王義高漲的時代,高中學生王動報名參加與學校課業學習無關的科技創作競賽,其參與的動機實值得進一步探究,而動機的強弱與競賽的成績間的關聯為何?動機類別在不同領域有不同的取向,本研究從文獻探討中粹取出「知識學習」、「人際互動」和「成就傾向」等三個動機面向編製問卷進行調查研究。 研究對象為參加第五屆「全國高中生高溫超導磁浮創意競賽」的參賽學生,以問卷調查方式,量測研究對象在知識學習、人際互動和成就傾向三個類別中的動機特質,並探討其參與動機和創意競賽成績的相關情形。研究結果發現如下: 一、參賽學生之參與動機對創意競賽成績無顯著性的影響。 二、高中女生在整體參與動機的表現上比男學生強。 三、隊長的身份角色明顯,參與動機較隊員強烈。 四、有社團幹部經驗的學生對於成就榮譽表現出較強的動機。 五、高一和高二學生比高三學生表現出更高的參與動機。

In Taiwan, senior high school students have to face the stress of entrance examinations for universities. What is the motivation for them to attend the technological innovation competition which is not related to their schoolwork? And is there any relationship between their motivations and competition performance? There are different aspects of motivations. By reviewing literatures, this study focused on three aspects including ”knowledge acquire”, ”social relation”, and ”achievement tendency.” An investigation on the subjects' motivation was conducted by the questionnaire. The subjects of this study were the participants of ”2006 National High School Innovation Competition Using Superconductor for Magnetic Levitation.” Applying quantitative approach, this study analyzed the subjects' participation motivations. The findings of this study were listed below: 1. There were no significant relationship between the participating motivation and their performance of competition. 2. The female senior high school students were more active than the male in the participating motivation aspect. 3. The leader of the team had more constructive participating motivations than other team members. 4. The participators with clubs experiences had higher motivation in achievement aspect. 5. The students of grade 10 and 11 had higher participating motivation than the senior students.
