摘要


蒙地卡羅模擬軟體在臨床上已經使用得相當多,模擬結果已經有相當好的準確度。但是為了要縮減誤差,通常需要很長的模擬時間,這對於研究的效率有不好的影響。OMEGA/BEAM軟體的作業環境是使用包含Fortran 77的Linux中執行,不同的Linux版本有不同的核心程式和伺服程式,這對於蒙地卡羅模擬所需時間會有不同的影響。本實驗設備包括個人電腦、不同發行版本之Linux,蒙地卡羅模擬軟體EGS4 OMEGA/BEAM。實驗中使用不同版本之Linux作為變數。在相同的硬體條件下,比較各個不同的Linux核心下的執行效率。由實驗可得知,不同的作業版本在模擬的執行效率上有所不同,TurboLinux Server 6.1執行效率優於其他的版本,但是考慮到實用性,以Red Hat 7.2 為最好的考慮。蒙地卡羅的模擬非常耗時,這項實驗的結果可作為臨床光子射束之蒙地卡羅方法模擬軟體在選擇Linux版本的參考依據。

Clinical application of Monte Carlo simulation has been used frequently. The results of Monte Carlo simulations are quite accurate, To reduce the error, more time of simulations is needed. This makes bad influence to our research. OMEGA/BEAM was executed on Linux with Fortran 77. Each Linux Distribution Version has different kernel and daemon, which induces difference of simulation time. The facilities of experiment include personal computer, some different Linux Versions, and the OMEGA/BEAM EGS4 Monte Carlo simulation software. The variable parameter is the Linux Version. Performance efficiency was measured utilizing different Linux version on the same hardware. According to the experimental data, performance efficiency of simulation is influenced by variable of Linux Version. TurboLinux Server 6.1 has the best performance efficiency then others. To consider of the practicability, the best choice is Red Hat 7.2.The Monte Carlo simulation costs many time to run. The results from this experiment can be employed as choosing Linux Version to run Monte Carlo simulation of clinical photon beams.
