The study of data warehouse is a relatively new research area therefore an analysis of the literature review could be useful to show what the academics are studying and what can be done for the further research. In this paper, a classification framework for data warehouse research based on business dimensional lifecycle is presented. There are 129 identified articles published on 31 journals that covered in SCI or SCI Expanded between 1995 and 2003. The articles are classified based on a framework that consists of six major categories: project management, data design, architecture, realization, deployment and maintenance, and others. The comprehensive list of reviewed articles is also presented.
