摘要

本文的對象為張乃文的「回天乏術－2003畢業展」中有關於石雕的作品。在張乃文的作品所矗立的石雕－「類佛教造像」前，若以前衛藝術的理性與正常目視，其作品似乎表現著違反著前衛藝術的非理性症狀。張乃文作品中「高度技術性」、「具象」及對「單一材質迷戀」之諸種症狀，理應被指稱為「傳統」、「脫離時代性」、「非前衛」，是相對於前衛下的瘋狂。弔詭的是，當我們嘗試著從藝術場域來觀看張乃文的作品位置，出乎意料的其作品在機制中卻獲得相當程度的認同。本文所要嘗試便是其如何在上述的矛盾中，於文化場中取得合法化地位？並審視作為言說交戰場的作品，張乃文如何使言說現形，回復物像的靜默以使觀者驚覺主體狀態，進而引發更多關於社會與文化的自我審視。

Beyond the various discourse, dismembering statues remain silence-An essay about 2003 Chang N.W.'s graduate exhibition ”The Hopeless reversing”
The whole essay of this article is focusing on sculptures in 2003 Chang N.W.'s graduate exhibition ”The Hopeless reversing”. Through the survey and study author wishs to construct a reasonable explanation of such disintergrated states.
While audiences standing infront of Chang N.W.'s semi-Buddhism statues and watched with their rational eyes or reading works under the avant-garde art theory it seems that works here rebelled all the regulations of avant-garde art theories. Those statues expressed an anti-avant-garde art appearaence and have some irrational symptoms, such as: high technicality, figurative, and mono-material addiction...etc. Acorrding to the superficial atmosphere of Chang's statues, it seems they should be categorize into traditional art or at last non-contemporary, conservative style. Artist seems insanely and on purposed to stand on the opposite of avant-garde art. Somehow, astonishingly Chang's works has already been accepted by the avant-garde art system and even with highly success, while we observed the position of Change's works in culture production field.
The primitive motivation of this article is trying to understand why these works still winning their own legally position in contemporary culture field, even though they exist such paradoxes as we already referred in above? And how artist Chang N.W. used his own works as a battlefield of deputing to reveal the intension of discourses? His revelation proceedings not only make audiences astonishing in sense and discovered their subjective states, but also leading audiences make more introspection about the relationship of society and culture.
