大學與技職院校日語多媒體教材使用現況之考察

An Investigation of the Use of Computer Multimedia in Japanese and Applied Japanese Courses in Universities and Vocational Colleges in Taiwan

摘要


本研究旨在調査與探討電腦多媒體在大學與技職院校日語系及應用日語系的使用現況與評估、滿意度、使用意願、教材介面的呈現與學習的關係以及尚待克服的困難等相關課題。本研究的結果顯示受調査的學生普通認為多媒體對日語能力的聽、説、讀、寫是有幫助的。而且不論是否曽經使用過,學生都非常希望老師能使用多媒體來輔助教學。而學生雖然歡迎老師使用多媒體來教學,然而仍期待老師能夠充實教學的内容,顯示在老師使用多媒體的教學方法上尚有很大的改造空間。多媒體教材的使用意願非常高(學生80.6%、教師83.8%),而使用比率卻偏低(學生40.2%、教師47.3%),使用意願與使用比率相差約一倍。是以對於學生與教師想要使用多媒體的意願實不能忽略,排除施行上的障礙,積極改善使用的環境與條件實為當務之急。而在教學上教師不應只負責播放多媒體或將多媒體教材置放於網路上讓學習者自行瀏覽而已,而是應提供積極性的互動以彌補人與媒體、或人與機在互動上的不足,教師在多媒體教學上扮演著極為重要的角色。

The purpose of this study is to investigate the use of computer multimedia in Japanese and Applied Japanese courses in universities and vocational colleges in Taiwan: status of use, willingness to use computer multimedia, user-evaluation, user-satisfaction, usefulness in learning, and problems/difficulties related to its use.The results of this investigation have shown that the majority of students recognize that computer multimedia will help their Japanese language learning in the areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Results also have shown that students both with and without multimedia experience are expecting teachers to use multimedia material in the classroom. Despite students' high expectations for the use of computer multimedia, students' opinion indicated that there is room for improvement in multimedia contents for teaching. Further, the status of use is relatively low (40.2% for students, 47.3% for teachers) when comparing with the higher rate of willingness to use (80.6% for students, 83.8% for teachers). Therefore, to adequately incorporate this willingness to use multimedia on the part of both students and teachers, suitable action needs to be taken to aggressively improve school environments and learning conditions and for removing the problems related to using computer multimedia in teaching and learning. In addition, to supplement insufficiency in materials or software or to help solve problems encountered while using the computers, teachers will play a crucial role in the learning process, by providing aggressive interaction with the students as they use the multimedia, rather than just broadcasting information on a computer that students work on alone without assistance or feedback.
