淺論中醫學之五臟與美容的關係

中醫美容學在我國有著悠久的歷史，遠古至先秦時期就有原始人開始用石子、貝殼、獸牙等來製作的美麗配飾；中醫美容是利用中醫理論討論、調理與延綏人類之衰老過程，從而達到推遲顏面衰老、保持青春美麗的一種美容方法。中醫之臟腑學說是中醫學理論核心內容之一，中醫理論認為：青、黑、赤、黃、白五色分別歸屬肝、腎、心、牌、肺五臟，如果這些臟腑功能不足，毛髮、容顏就隨之而發生變化了。心，其華在面（面部氣色之表現）；肺，其華在毛，其充在皮（皮膚健康之表現）；脾，其華在唇（唇色之表現）：肝，其華在爪，其充在筋，開竅於目（眼睛靈活度與顏色）；腎，其華在發，其充在骨，開竅於耳等等（整體體能之表現），說明以中醫整理觀之理論來探討中醫美容之議題，可提供現代美容學說之重要理論基礎。本文即以中醫理論中最重要之五臟學說出發，淺論中醫學之五臟與美容的關係。

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) cosmetology has a long history in China. Since the pre-Qin Dynasty, there were primitive people who wore beautiful accessories made of stones, shells, and animal teeth. TCM cosmetology refers to the application of TCM theories to the analysis, adjustment, and delay of human's aging process for the purpose of postponing facial senility and staying young and beautiful. As one of the core theories of traditional Chinese medicine, viscera and bowels theory suggested that five viscera: liver, kidney, heart, spleen, and lung could be represented by five colors: cyan, dark, red, yellow, and white respectively. If these organs cannot function adequately, the colors of hair and face would change correspondingly. The heart has its external manifestation on the face; the lung, on the body hair, nourishing the skin; the spleen, on the lips ; the liver, on the nails, nourishing the sinews, opening into the eyes; the kidney, on the hair, nourishing the bones, opening into the ears. Therefore, the perspective of entirety in traditional Chinese medicine that has been applied to explore TCM cosmetics can serve an important theoretical basis of modern cosmetology. Starting with Five Viscera Theory, one of the most important TCM theories, this study explores the relationship between TCM's Five Viscera Theory and cosmetology.
