台灣女性影展:女人的性別意識覺醒、自書與賦權

Taiwan Women’s Film Festival:Female Artists’ Gender Consciousness, Self-narrative, and Empowerment

摘要


本研究以台灣女性影展為主題,探討女性影展創作中,女性影像傳達哪些性別意涵,試圖耙梳與檢視歷屆女性影展關注議題的趨向與差異。研究過程中乃輔以深度訪談、電影文本分析與文獻分析等取徑進行詮釋。研究發現,台灣女性影展透過影像創作,展現了不同性別認同與意識的內涵,其如同婦運本身的特色「賦權」(empowering),即伴隨著婦女運動的成長,歷經覺醒、自書與介入公共領域等不同階段。因此,我們看到了女性影像以個人自傳式、記錄性的第一人稱方式描繪自我。並且,利用展演、扮裝與喬裝的方式,尋求性別解放、模糊多元的性別認同。此外,她們亦以女性意象、生理經驗與情慾解放,娓娓道出屬於女人的私語。更甚者,她們的創作轉而專注公共領域中包括:政治、身份認同、勞動/工作、自然、異質文化、社區、新移民,以及同性成家等議題。

This paper, on the subject of Taiwan Women’s Film Festival, attempts to discover how female Taiwanese artists present their own gender consciousness in the films. The research pays close attention to the contemporary women’s visual art in Taiwan’s films, through different approaches of in-death interview, textual analysis and literature review. The study found that women in the films of Taiwan Film Festival, showing a different gender identity awareness with the connotation of "empowerment" as the characteristics of the women's movement itself. In the films, the images of woman are described or recorded as “the first person” or as “the autobiography” to show their identification. Otherwise, the female Taiwanese artists try to tell a story of their privacy, with the female physical experience and erotic liberation in the films. Furthermore, their creative issues have been focusing on the public sphere, such as politics, identity, labor/work, nature, community, and emigrant.
