This thesis employed the qualitative case study approach to explore a preschool principal's leadership behavior. The data collecting methods included deep interview and related documents. These data were analyzed and discussed through triangulation method by examining each other to improve the reliability. The findings were as the following: The principal applied different leadership behaviors to deal with various scenarios that brought different results: 1. "Task oriented leadership" indicated a clear working target, working method and inspection standard; 2. "Relation oriented leadership" improved satisfaction of staffs toward their working place; 3."Transition oriented leadership" boosted expertise of all members in the preschool; 4. "Change oriented leadership" helped the preschool get rid of negative impacts, which were caused by ill environment; 5. "Participation oriented leadership" encouraged parents to take part in preschool affairs, enhanced communication and improved cooperation of both sides.
