輕度智能障礙者參與休閒活動現況初探

摘要

身心障礙者的休閒娛樂多以靜態為主，如閱讀、唱歌、看電影等，專門為身心障礙者而設計的休閒娛樂其實不多見，清洗、打掃、做家事等，對一般人而言是例行的日常工作，但是對身心障礙者而言，卻可能是重要的休閒活動項目。本研究的主要目的在於瞭解智能障礙者參與休閒活動的現況。本研究採用開放的質性訪談方式，以三位有口語表達能力之智能障礙者為研究對象，藉由面對面地訪談方式，蒐集研究所需的資料。研究發現身心障礙者參與休閒活動的頻率不高，參與類型中以「感性閒逸型休閒活動」最多，而參與「體能型休閒活動」者最少。休閒活動活動不僅是人類的基本需求，對於智能障礙者更是重要，因此，在機構照顧智能障礙者應提供適切的休閒服務，滿足智能障礙智的需求。

Leisure activities are vital components for persons with intellectual disabilities in their daily livings. The aim of the present study is to describe the status of leisure activities, particular in the types of activities. A qualitative method was conducted to interview three persons with mild intellectual disabilities. The results showed that they were seldom participating leisure activities; static leisure activities were the most participatory type in their daily livings. The study suggests that the caregivers should empower and encourage persons with intellectual disabilities to participate outdoor activities to improve their health and quality of life.
