應用SCORM標準模式建立數位醫療教學環境

Applying the SCORM Standard to Build a Medical E-Teaching Environment

摘要


近年來,因應多元化學習的熱潮興起,加上寬頻網路的日漸普及,學習的模式已從課堂中聽講轉變成透過網路進行線上學習,然在學習的過程中也產生了數位教材難以共享的問題。以致於各自的教學資源無法被有效的交換運用,例如資料內容沒有一致化的格式,將造成教學資源整合不易、搜尋困難、再利用性低以及學習資源的無法重複利用等相關性的問題衍生而出。本研究即在說明如何透過以XML為基礎的SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) 標準及其相關模式搭配,使得學習管理系統(Learning Management System, LMS)與數位教材的相依度達到最低。說明系統與數位內容相依度低,使得學習管理系統不需因為數位內容及架構而改變原來的設計,而數位內容亦可在於任何符合SCORM標準的學習管理系統中使用,進而達到數位內容的整合與共享,並規劃未來採用此國際化標準建立院內醫療課程數位化,以達成減少開發成本、縮短數位教材開發時程。

Since the recent popularization of multiplex study and internet communication, traditional educational patterns have developed away from the classroom and towards studying through the internet. However, the sharing of digital teaching materials creates a number of difficulties that are revealed during this learning process. For example, teaching resources cannot be exchanged effectively because their contents are in inconsistent formats, which can cause problems due to teaching resource nonconformity and search difficulties. This result is that in certain teaching resources not being used fully. The aim of this article namely was to showcase how it is possible to use a data standard, the Sharable Content Object Reference Model or SCORM which is based on the XML standard. This approach lowers the dependence link between the learning management system and the digital teaching materials. The advantage of building up such an independent learning management system is that people do not need to change any of the settings in this learning management system even when they use different digital teaching material. In the other words, digital teaching material is able to be shared across any learning management system based on the SCORM standard. This makes digital teaching material easier to organize and share. In addition, our study findings raised a new paradigm in digitizing medical teaching materials when SCORM is associated with the learning management system. This that its application can reduce the development cost of medical education and shorten the development period for digital teaching materials.
