In this study, we used two stages of physicians to participate in the investigation in order to understand the use pattern of the physician chair in the clinic for a long time. The investigation was conducted by three sectors and six doctors for observation and interview. The main results found that physicians need to continue to rotate during the clinic time and move the chair, so the chair's center of gravity stability and the wheel will be the focus of observations; Moreover, the physician often use the trunk and less use the back of the trunk, long time work on the lumbar spine as a burden of great posture. And the general ergonomic chair adjustment function was rarely used by the physicians, for the chair ergonomic parameters could be considered as the considerable problem. Therefore, this study for the future design of the medical chair is designed to focus on the physician chair center of gravity and wheel steering smoothly, and to semi-automatic mechanism or convenient, intuitive mode of operation to adjust the chair as the focus of study.
