How to Teach Masterworks of Literature?-Teaching "紅樓夢" and Activities Designs

摘要


緣於98學年度執行教育部「以通識教育為核心之全校課程革新計畫」之故,筆者也匯入教授經典的行列。《紅樓夢》耀眼的溝通藝術成就,保存的18世紀貴族生活美學,啟發筆者發掘經典的獨特性、現代風貌,融入現代元素開創教學新意引起學習興趣的構想。以人際溝通為中心的《紅樓夢》教學設計,融通語言學、溝通學理論,勾勒人際溝通要點,做為架構課程、編纂教材的基礎,教學上特重人物性格與溝通模式關聯的提點。這個教學取向,期待學生熟悉語言學、溝通學基礎理論,運用於紅樓人物溝通行為分析,能歸納人物的語言表達模式,指出其特點,進而養成觀察人心理與語言行為的能力,提升溝通技能,和諧自己與他人的關係。更高的期待是學生在每一個人生階段都能重拾《紅樓夢》,在創新閱讀視野的同時也翻新觀看世界的眼光,從而開啟生命的新頁。

Due to carrying on MOE's project ”The Curricula Reformation Centered in General Study”, I started teaching classic literature as well. The Dream of the Red Chamber, being preserved the arts of the noble life in the 18th century and the achievement on the art of the communication, inspires me to explore the whole picture of the classic literature which triggers me to interface modern elements for teaching innovation. The lesson plan based on the inter-personal communication, combines linguistics and theory of communication to feature the points while communicating which is the framework of the course and the base for editing teaching materials. It focuses on the relationship between the characters and the communicating models. The objective of this plan is intended to build up students' acknowledge on linguistics and the theory of communication and are able to analyze characters' communicating models in The Dream of the Red Chamber, and furthermore, induce characters' language expression models in it. Consequently, hopefully, they could develop the ability on observing persons' psychology and language to lift their communicating skills for a harmonious inter-personal relationship.
