In motor development, overhand throwing is one of the fundamental movements to children and it is also a critical indicator to human being. In many sports, the model of overhand throwing movement is required. Through a literature review, this study sought to extend findings into the perspectives: (a) the model of overhand throwing, (b) the analysis of overhand throwing in motor development, and (c) the applied studies of overhand throwing. Under these aspects, this study aimed to explore the determination of interaction of theory and practical implements. Moreover, it also brought out valuable reference on techniques instruction for coaches and PE teachers.
