The relations between Japan and Taiwan have been through several upheavals from The Cold War to the Post-Cold War conflicts. What will it be like in the 21st Century? This paper begins by discussing each historical stage of the development of the international status-quo and highlighting the unique characteristics of Japan-Taiwan relations. Then, the international relations and political culture of the two countries are compared. Finally, I will end with the problems and nuances of their current situation, In order to offer solutions and make a small contribution to the discussion on the relationship between Japan and Taiwan.
