This study aims to explore the relationship between teachers' job stress and their quality of life in Nantou County's elementary schools. Based on school size the researcher selected 50 elementary schools and 432 teachers. Results were collected, based on 417 effect samples and a 97% of effect sample rate. The results were listed as follows: (1.) Teachers' overall job stress in elementary schools was on a medium level, and overall quality of life among the teachers was average. (2.) There were significant differences between the background variables of gender, region, marital status, duties and teacher job stress. (3.) Moreover, gender, age, region, seniority, position and other background variables had significant statistical differences in the quality of teachers' lives. (4.) After analysis of Pearson productmoment correlation, it was indicated that teachers' job stress had a remarkable negative correlation with their quality of life. (5.) Teachers' job stress was predictable for the teachers' quality of life.
