論朱點人小說的批判精神

摘要

朱點人（1903～1949）為三○年代台灣新文學的重要作家，其小說深具強烈的社會性與批判性，在當時文壇有頗高評價，被稱為台灣創作界的麒麟兒，作品不遜於魯迅、徐志摩等名家。本文指出朱點人是台灣文學作家中，少數不為資本主義假象所迷惑，而能對日本殖民統治提出強烈的批判者；也是最能掌握「現代性」的兩面性者，一方面能以進步的觀念針貶落後的封建傳統，另方面則能察覺台灣社會面臨倫理價值與文化主體崩落的危機。他並在小說中勾勒一個和平互助、財富共享的社會，體現知識分子的批判精神與理想色彩，值得重新認識與肯定。

Zhu Dian-ren (1930~1949) was an important author of Taiwan new literature in the 1930s. His novels reflect and criticize the social conditions and had very high appraisal at that time. He is called ”the son of dragon” among the authors of Taiwan literature. His works are as good as Lu Xun's and Xu Zhi-mo's.This essay points out that among the authors of Taiwan literature, Zhu Dian-ren is one of the few ones that are not deceived by the false appearances of capitalism. He is also the best author that can comprehend the both sides of ”modernity.” He not only uses the progressive thinking to criticize the feudalistic tradition but also notices that Taiwan society faces the crisis of the collapse of ethical values and the subject of culture. In his novels, he portrays a peaceful, mutual-cooperative, wealth-sharing society. He shows the critical spirit and idealism of an intellectual. He is worth the respect of re-knowing.
