Learning Satisfaction towards Physical Education Course of Junior High School Students

The purpose of this study was to realize the learning satisfaction towards physical education course of junior high school students in Taiwan and to contrast the students with different backgrounds. The researcher referred to the learning satisfaction scale by Cho (2000) and developed the learning satisfaction scale of junior high school students. The data used for analyzing the reliability and validity of the scale came from item-analysis and factor analysis. The result revealed that Cronbach's α of factors was between .68 and .86. The total Cronbach’s α was .92. The result of analyzed data revealed that: 1. The total mean of sport learning satisfaction towards physical education course of junior high school students was 3.52±0.56, between normal and agreement. Among the five aspects in PE, the junior high school students in Nantou County agreed the most with the learning satisfaction effect in the following order: achievement, teaching, administration, course, and venue and equipment. 2. With regards to gender differences, male students were more in agreement with the learning satisfaction effect than female students. With regard to sports club difference, students who were with sports clubs were more satisfied than those who were not in teaching and achievement factors. 3. With regard to sports time difference, the more sport times students spent, the more satisfaction they felt. Regarding the grade difference, 7th grade students felt more satisfaction than 8th and 9th grade students.
