Radicular Cyst in a Primary Tooth: A Case Report

摘要

乳牙斷髓及拔髓等根管治療有時會造成乳牙齒列的囊腫形成，其臨床特徵包括龐大、快速生長並同時會造成周遭骨頭膨脹、自身乳牙的牙根吸收及下方繼生齒的易位。針對此類問題最適當的處理方式應為摘除囊腫、拔除乳牙並保留下方繼生齒。即便繼生齒一開始易位、不是處於一個很好的位置，多數情形下他們都會自動長到正常的位置。雖然如此，還是建議做過乳牙根管治療的牙齒應定期接受X光檢查。本篇報告是關於一個9歲男童在左下第二乳臼齒經過根管治療後，長出根尖囊腫，並在摘除囊腫及拔除乳牙後六個月中無復發情況。

Pulpotomy and pulpectomy occasionally lead to cyst formation in the primary dentition. e clinical features include large-sized, rapid growing radiolucency, bony expansion, root resorption of primary teeth and displacement of permanent teeth. Complete enucleation of the cyst with extraction of the associated primary teeth and preservation of the permanent teeth appear to be the most suitable treatment option. Normal alignment of the permanent teeth usually occurs spontaneously even their initial positions were highly unfavourable. Nevertheless, it is recommended that radiographic examination of primary teeth that have undergone pulp therapy should be done on a regular basis. This report is to present the case of a 9-year-old boy with a radicular cyst rising from his mandibular left primary second molar following pulp therapy. Extraction of the associated primary tooth and enucleation of the lesion was performed. The patient has been disease-free for 6 months.
