Chinese Philosophy and Hegemonic Consciousness: Anticipating the Advent of an Indigenous Taiwanese Philosophy

摘要

中國哲學乃中國文化的精神產物，而在此時此刻的台灣社會之中，吾人究應如何看待中國文化，如何研索中國哲學，如何處理台灣文化與中國傳統哲學之間的多面向關係，實為台灣人不能不面對的艱鉅課題。因此，本文將論述焦點集中地對目前台灣學術界的中國哲學研究，進行兼具歷史向度、文化向度與精神向度的探討；而論述之脈絡則設法經由對中國文化的意理成分所涉及的所謂「霸權意識」的破解，以釐清「是否有所謂的『中國哲學霸權』？」的疑慮；並同時追究中國哲學的研究所以在台灣遭致阻障與戕害的歷史之因，以便為台灣哲學界主體性曲折迷離的自覺過程，提出解困之方與脫困之道，而到底該如何超越地解構「中國」，又該如何後設地看待「台灣」，而不斷地回返吾人自身所依所寄的生活的壤土，似乎不能不經由台灣在地哲學的誕生，而因此有真實的盼望、真實的理想。

In the face of current circumstances in Taiwan, how are local thinkers supposed to regard Chinese philosophy and the spirit of Chinese culture? How are we to conduct research in Chinese philosophy and to deal with the many-faceted relations between Taiwanese culture and traditional Chinese philosophy? These are daunting questions serious Taiwanese thinkers must take into account. Therefore, this article would like to focus on current research being conducted on Chinese philosophy by Taiwanese academics from historical, cultural and spiritual dimensions. Moreover, I would like to attempt to deal with certain components of traditional Chinese culture in cracking the so-called ＂hegemony of Chinese philosophy.＂ This is a daunting task in that we need to navigate the often times tortuous path of Taiwan's historical obstacles in finding an indigenous philosophical subjectivity. In this process, we must find how to transcend China and set our focus on Taiwan in reflecting on the life of our own land. We must dedicate ourselves to allowing for the birth of an indigenous Taiwan philosophy that gives us true ideals and true hope.
