摘要

本研究主要目的是基於探討大專學生參與慢速壘球動機爲何。研究者以自編之「民眾參與慢速壘球運動動機之調查問卷」作爲資料收集之工具。以台北縣新莊運動公園、三重疏洪道壘球場及台北市大佳運動公園之壘球運動民眾做爲本研究之對象。所使用之資料分析方法包括：描述性統計、因素分析，顯著水準之認定，均以α值=.05爲標準。經分析探討，所獲結果如下：大專學生則是以「成就需求」爲第一順位，而「社會需求」則是排爲第二順位，再其次爲「健康需求」最不注重的需求則是「知性需求」。

This research is to find out the motivations of college students to play softball. The researcher conducted a survey-a questionnaire regarding the motivations of why college students playing softball. The target populations are from those college students who regularly play softball at Xin-Zhuang Sports Park, San-Chung floodway, and Da-Jia Sports Park in Taipei City. The data analysis methods include: demographics, t-test, and a11 being worth by a=.05 is a standard. The findings are as follows: The most popular reason that college students play softball is to gain a sense of achievement. The second reason is that they look at it as a social need. Next, they play softball for health and fitness. Finally, the last reason that college students would play softball is to gain knowledge from it.
