Paclobutrazol對國蘭金鳥與金華山生育及開花之影響

Effect of Paclobutrazol on Growth and Flowering of Cymbidium goeringii REI "GeumJo" and Cymbidium sienense Willd

摘要


為了控制國蘭株高增加盆花的價值,本試驗以每次20ml Paclobutrazol,共進行8次的國蘭植株栽培介質灌注,將探討施用矮化劑的最適濃度。分別處理國蘭金鳥及金華山兩品種、施用的濃度為:0、90、120及150 ppm。結果顯示,經此種矮化劑處理的植株,其植株高度、葉片寬度、花梗長度及花朵數上有明顯減少的情形。處理時,濃度需120 ppm以上才有顯著的影響,而150 ppm Paclobutrazol灌注後,植株的生育及開花均有明顯的控制。不過,相同濃度的Paclobutrazol處理在不同品種的國蘭,效果有些許的差異。灌注Paclobutrazol後,依國蘭品種的不同,可提早開花8-17天,且可獲得較佳的盆花品質。因此,本研考建議於初生芽期間每四星期施用1次120 ppm Paclobutrazol,3-4次後應可使國蘭的植株矮化及調節開花期。

To determine optimal concentration of plant growth retardant for potted plant height control and ornamental quality improvement. Eight single-drench application of 20 ml Paclobutrazol was applied to Cymbidium goeringii REI ”GeumJo” and Cymbidium sienense Willd with the dose of 0, 90, 120 and 150 ppm, respectively. This growth retardant reduced plant height, leaf width, flower stalk length, and number of flower compared with control. The minimal inhibition concentration is 120 ppm for Paclobutrazol. 150 ppm Paclobutrazol has a significant effect. However, at the same concentration of Paclobutrazol, the effect on retarding growth and flowering had a little different among varieties. Paclobutrizol reduced the time to flowering about 8 to 17 days, depending on the varieties. The quality of potted flowering plant was greatly improved. We suggest that one single-drench application of Paclobutrazol was applied to a period of Cymbidium budlet every 4 weeks. After 3-4 times, Paclobutrazol could be used in regulating plant height and flowering of Cymbidium.
