Learning Organization, Typologies of Learning Pattern and Their Links to Organizational Performance for Knowledge-intensive Organizations

知識密集型產業之學習型組織、學習型態與經營績效關係之研究

摘要


本研究以醫院此種知識密集的組織為研究對象,探討:(1)學習型組織對經營績效的影響關係,(2)學習型態的類型以及各類學習型態的經營績效是否不同,以及(3)是否愈傾向於理想型的學習型組織,其經營績效愈佳?研究結果發現:(1)學習型組織對於經營績效具有正向顯著的影響關係,(2)醫院組織可區分成四種不同類型的學習型態;各種學習型態的醫院組織間之經營績效具顯著差異,(3)愈傾向於理想型的學習型組織之醫院,其經營績效愈佳。最後,本研究並根據研究結果提出研究與管理涵意以及未來研究方向的建議。

This study purports to empirically verify the strategic role of learning organization for knowledge-intensive organizations the hospital organizations. The explored foci include: (1) the impact mechanism and the effect of learning organization on organizational performance, (2) identification of typologies of learning pattern and comparisons of performances among these various learning patterns, (3) confirmation of whether the closer to an ideal type of learning organization, the better the performance will be for knowledge-intensive organizations. The results indicate that (1) the effect of learning organization on organizational performance is positive, (2) there exist four typologies of learning pattern in hospital organizations and the performances among hospitals belonging to each learning pattern are significantly different, (3) the more closer to an ideal type of learning organization, the better the organizational performance would be for hospital organizations. The research and managerial implications of learning organization, as well as directions for future research, are also proposed.
