協助一位學齡前期燙傷兒童面對住院壓力之護理經驗

A Nursing Experience of Helping a Preschool Burnt Child Face the Stress of Hospitalization

摘要


住院對兒童而言是一件極具壓力的經驗感受,且易產生退化、分離焦慮等因應行為。本文敘述一位3歲2個月的病童,於民國98年4月18日因淺至深二度燙傷且燒傷面積佔50%,住入燒傷中心。筆者在民國98年4月19日至5月25日照護期間,藉著非結構性會談及觀察收集相關資料,從生理、認知、心理社會發展等予以評估,發現個案有疼痛、焦慮、現存性感染等護理問題。故於病童住院期間,詳細評估病童持續照顧需求,給予照護指導與後續照顧安排,以提升病童生活品質。

Hospitalization is a very stressful experience for children. It can lead 10 some coping behaviors such as regression and separation anxiety. This article described a three years and two months old toddler, who suffered superficial and deep second degree bums up to 50% of the Body Surface Area (BSA), was admitted to a bum center on April 18, 2009. During the period of nursing care from April 19 to May 25, 2009, the author gathered data through non-structured interviews and observation. After assessing the subject's physical, cognitive and psychosocial development, the author found that the subject's nursing problems included pain, anxiety and existing infection. Therefore, in order to enhance the child's quality of life, the author carefully assessed the needs for a Continuum of Care (CoC), provided care guidance and follow-up care arrangements during the child's hospitalization.
