After analyzing 62 pellets of the Tawny Owl (Strix aluco) and 146 pellets of the Collared Scops OwI (Otus Iettia), I found remains of I Mountain Scops Owl (Otus spilocephalus) and 4 Collard OwIets (Glaucidium brodiei) in the Tawny Owl's pellets, and the remains of 1 Mountain Scops Owl in the Collared Scops Owl's pellets. This indicates that both the Tawny Owl and Collared Scops Owl are capable of preying on other small owls in Taiwan.
