臺灣「體育實驗班」設立之初探

Preliminary Study on the Establishment of the "Athletic Experimental Classes" of Taiwan

摘要

現今體育班的建置乃學校培育優秀運動選手方式之一，更是國家政策發展重要面向。然體育班諸多研究成果中，鮮少提及體育班之歷史脈絡。爰此，體育實驗班之發展有其進一步研究之必要。本文採用歷史研究法，取自政府公報、期刊論文、書籍、報紙及會議紀錄等史料，以建構體育實驗班發展之情況。經資料整理、分析及歸納，得到初步的結果：（一）體育班與體育實驗班兩者詞彙在實施層面上與字面上有所差異；（二）體育實驗班成立乃貫徹「全民體育培養優秀運動人才實施方案」基準下，實踐國父與總統蔣介石訓示，並改善保送升學情況，於1968年成立；（三）最早成立體育實驗班乃由臺灣省教育廳核定，選定中部兩所高中，分別為省立臺中一中與臺中女中辦理，每校均設一班，當時預計招收五十名學生，由省立體專教師與學生協助訓練；（四）體育實驗班招收條件，強調學生競賽成績、基本體能測驗與學科發展。綜觀體育實驗班之成立，為現今體育班奠基創舉，同時也影響體育班的發展。惟體育實驗班實施後之概況與體育實驗班學生畢業發展情形，將是未來進一步研究的課題。

Nowadays, setting the athletic class is one way to cultivate good athletes in school; it is an important tendency for national policy development. However rare researches mentioned about the historical context in the researches of the athletic class. Thus, it is necessary to do further studies about the development of athletic experimental classes. This paper adopted historical research method and resources are from the government gazette, journal articles, books, newspapers, conference records and other historical materials to construct the development of athletic experimental classes. From the data compilation analysis, the preliminary results are: (a) In the implementation, the terms of athletic classes and athletic experimental classes are different literally; (b) The athletic experimental classes was set in 1968 and based on the ”National Sports Culture outstanding athletic talents plan”, the practice of Sun Yat-sen's and president's Chiang Kai-shek instructions to make further improvement of situation; (c) The establishment of the first sports experimental class was determined by Taiwan Provincial Department of Education which selected two high schools in the central of Taiwan; respectively, Provincial Taichung High School and Provincial Taichung Girls High School. One class for each school is set to recruit fifty students, and the teachers and students of Physical Education Department of Taiwan Provincial Normal College were responsible for training; (d) The recruit of athletic experimental classes emphasizes on students' competition performance, the basic physical testing and the development of academic disciplines. According to the establishment of athletic experimental classes from the above, all pioneer for the foundation of today's athletic classes, also have affected the development of athletic classes at the same time. Nevertheless, the profile of athletic experimental classes after implementing and the development for graduates of athletic experimental classes will be the further studies.
