This study intends to understand the influence of mentoring functions on the transfer effect of employees' training from the mentorship perspective. Staffs from hi-tech industries that are renowned for their professional technology and know-hows were selected as subjects of this study. Data from the collected questionnaires were analyzed by methods including Descriptive Statistics Analysis, Reliability and Validity Analysis, Pearson's Product-Moment Correlation Analysis and Hierarchical Regression Analysis. The study result indicates that among the mentoring functions, career development and role modeling can promote employees' application of knowledge/skills after training; furthermore, role modeling is able to promote employees' abilities on job congruence, supervisors/peers relationships and communication, and internalizing cognition after training.
