Dysmenorrhea is a disease that plagues the lives and working of women around the world. In this case report, the 19-year-old female patient from the age of 12 when there is no symptoms of menstruation. After one year of the menarche, she felt abdominal inflate 1 to 2 days before menstrual period and persistent pain in lower abdomen during menstrual period. She has suffered dysmenorrhea for six years with irritability before menstrual, furthermore, diarrhea and facial pimples aggravated during menstrual phase. It is normal to her menstrual blood volume with dark red color, no blood clots, no smell, usually no abdominal discomfort or abnormal secretions and other symptoms. In the face of this patient with primary dysmenorrhea and concomitant symptoms we use Chinese medicine to warm yang and dry dampness, nourish blood and clear qi stasis. After a month of traditional Chinese medicine remedy the patient felt pain improved (VAS: 6 reduced to VAS: 0). Consequently, we proposed the experience in this case report for clinical reference and application.
