Improving Psychiatric Patients' Satisfaction by Using a Client-centered Goal Formulation Structure

使用個案中心的目標訂立架構以增進精神病患滿意度

摘要


目的:本研究旨在比較台灣地區之慢性精神疾病患者在使用「加拿大職能表現評估」〈Canadian Occupational Performance Measure〉和現今通行之「職能治療評量表」〈Comprehensive Occupational Therapy Evaluation Scale〉後的職能表現分數與滿意度結果。方法:使用準實驗型研究設計方法〈quasi-experimental design〉,將20位來自台北市綜合醫院精神科之日間病房的個案,施用不同的職能治療目標訂立架構方法〈其中75%之診斷為精神分裂症,平均年齡為45.3歲〉。經一個月的職能治療活動後,統計其職能表現與病患滿意度之分數結果。結果:研究顯示精神病患在兩組間的職能表現分數平均值並無統計上之顯著差異。但兩組內的職能表現分數均達統計上之顯著差異。未來研究宜加大樣本數或延長資料收集時間,以觀察是否有不同的結果發現。

This study used a quasi-experimental design to compare the effect of clients' occupational performance and satisfaction using either a client-centered approach (i.e., Canadian Occupational Performance Measure) or the traditional approach among Taiwanese patients with chronic psychiatric disorders. The average age of 20 participants was 45.3 years, 75% of them were diagnosed with schizophrenia. The results showed that there was no significant difference in the mean scores of Comprehensive Occupational Therapy Evaluation Scale between the COPM and the comparison groups. However, significant pre- and post-treatment differences in COTES were found within both groups. Further studies using a larger sample size and/or extending the data-collecting period are needed.
