This research had evaluated the relationship between operation patterns, spatial arrangement, and push sequence, such as the switches of lights and fans in the classrooms. 256 people completed the survey which included the arrangement of equipments and switches in 15 classrooms. For single-row switches, most of operation patterns are from left to right; among all survey samples, most of people would assume that the farthest left switch matches for the equipment which is closest to the blackboard. However, people would match the farthest right button of the single-row switch to the equipment which is distant from the blackboard. Meanwhile, we illuminated that the pattern of using double-row switches is from the upper to lower row. Most of people who take this experiment would match upper-left button to the equipment which is located on the left side next to the blackboard; people would refer lower-right button to the equipment which is located on the right side and the farthest from the blackboard. The results expressed that only the push sequence of four-button switch of fans meets population stereotypes among 30 switch boxes in our survey.
