摘要

歐洲文化深受希臘文化的影響，舉凡文學、藝術、建築、政治、等等，尤其是至今仍然呼聲不絕於耳的民主政治，全球性的女權運動，都可從希臘文化中見到端倪並觀察到深受其影響。本文試圖從古希臘聞名的一男一女兩位詩人：阿卡額司(Alcaeus of Mytilene)和莎芙(Sappho)來分析比較他們的生平作品的異同、創新，並從中窺視其所反映出的希臘文明，對今日歐洲文化的影響。

European culture is deeply influenced by Greek culture, in the field of literature, architect, politic etc. In particular, the voice of democracy, the global feminist movement have their origin from the Greek culture. This paper attempts through analysis and comparison of the two ancient Greek poets, one male-Alcaeus of Mytilene and one female-Sappho with their similarities and differences between life and work to trace the reflection and influence of the Greek civilization on modern Europe and the world.
