本研究目的在探討台灣大學生的運動行為與憂鬱症狀之間的相互影響情形。由於運動對於憂鬱傾向的改善有一定的影響力,故本研究將實證探討,以規律運動為自變數,憂鬱症為依變數,分析二者間之關聯效果。方法:以台灣中部地區 (中、彰、投三縣市) 1600 位大專學生為研究對象,調查其運動行為,包括運動頻率及參與運動社團經驗,並以董氏基金會大學生之憂鬱量表調查受測學生之憂鬱傾向。所有資料以獨立樣本t 檢定、單因子變異數分析進行分析。結果:1.台灣中部地區大學生之運動頻率和憂鬱指數之間有明顯差異,每週運動次數較高之學生,其憂鬱指數顯示有較低的情況 (P<.05) ;2. 男、女生性別間憂鬱指數並無顯著差異之情況(P>.05);三、有參與運動性社團經驗(運動校、系隊)之大學生其顯示有較低的憂鬱指數結果(P<.05)。由此可瞭解從事規律運動及有運動性社團經驗之大學生,相較於無規律運動及無運動性社團經驗之大學生憂鬱傾向較低,證實從事規律運動行為有助於降低大學生之憂鬱傾向。
The main purpose of this study was to analyze how college students' exercise behavior and depressionism affected each other. 1600 college students from central Taiwan served as the subjects to investigate their exercise frequency and sports club participating experiences. The John Tung Foundation (JTF) College Students' depression inventory was applied to measure their depressionism level The results of the research indicated as followed: 1. There was reaching statistical significance between students' exercise frequency and depressionism index, the frequent exerciser tended to have lower depressionism index level (P<.05) 2. There was not reaching statistical significance between gender (P>.05) 3. Students who involved in sports club activities tended to have lower depressionism index level (P<.05) In conclusion, exercising regularly helps students to reduce the depressionism problem.
