觀光系學生校外實習成效之研究-以靜宜大學為例

Exploring Off-campus Internship Effectiveness of Tourism Department Students- An Example of Providence University

摘要


過去鮮少有研究以選修的校外實習課程為例,探討觀光系學生校外實習的成效,因此,本研究目的以靜宜大學觀光事業學系的校外實習選修課程為例,從實習生與雇主的角度,去探討106~108學年度參加校外實習的學生之實習成效,問卷採用普查之方式發放給實習生與實習單位雇主。在實習生調查方面,研究顯示實習生在校外實習後自我知覺能力平均數顯著較實習前為高;暑假實習課程類型實習生於校外實習後自我知覺能力之平均數部分顯著高於全學期實習者。在雇主調查方面,實習生性別與校外實習課程類型在雇主知覺實習生表現能力上具有部分顯著差異。在重要-表現分析方面,不同的校外實習課程類型在重要-表現分析表現上是有部分差異的,例如:暑假實習課程類型的「解決問題」能力指標是落在「重要、不滿意」象限,而全學期實習者則落在「不重要、不滿意」象限。最後,本研究依據結果提出相關管理方針與因應策略,例如培養學生的基本能力、強化學生跨領域學習、建議雇主實踐企業社會責任、建議雇主發展客製化校外實習生的培訓、建議學校教學宜融入觀光產業情境模擬等。

Few studies take off-campus internship course with elective subject as examples to explore the internship effectiveness for Tourism Department intern. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to take off-campus internship elective course of Tourism Department, Providence University as an example, and explore the internship effectiveness for the 106-108 academic year students from the perspectives of interns and employers. Questionnaires were administered to interns and employers with census sampling. As for the intern survey, the results of the study showed that interns' self-perceived abilities after internship are significantly higher than those before the internship. Students taking the internship course with summer vacation gained significantly higher self-perceived ability scores than those taking the internship course with one semester. As for the employers survey, employers perceived intern ability showed partly significant difference in gender and internship course types. As for the importance-performance analysis (IPA), the findings of IPA showed partly significant difference in internship course types. For example, the problem-solving ability indicator is located on importance-unsatisfaction quadrant for the internship course with summer vacation, whereas the same indicator is located on unimportance-unsatisfaction quadrant for the internship course with one semester. Finally, this study provides managerial and strategic implications according to the results. For example, cultivating the student's basic literacy, enhancing the student's interdisciplinary learning, suggesting employers to conduct corporate social responsibility, suggesting employers to develop customized training for interns, suggesting university to integrate industry situational simulation into teaching content, etc.
