觀光系學生進教室在乎什麼?從教師、環境、同儕觀點探討影響課程滿意度之研究

What do the students of Tourism Department care about in the classroom? Factors affect course satisfaction from the perspectives of teacher, environment, and peers

摘要


課程滿意度對學校與系所而言是一個重要的議題,然而,鮮少有研究從系統性的觀點去探討教師、環境與同儕三個面向因子是如何影響學生的課程滿意度。因此,本研究參考現存量表與訪談學生,編制適當的測量題項,採用立意抽樣方式於8門課堂上進行問卷發放,總共收集到492份有效問卷,以瞭解教師、環境與同儕三大因子如何影響課程滿意度。在驗證性因素分析方面,測量模式具有良好的信度、效度與適配度,而整體結構模型顯示,教師、環境與同儕三個因子皆會顯著正向影響學生的課程滿意度,此外,本研究進一步採用多元迴歸分析,檢測三因子的內部題項如何影響課程滿意度。分析結果顯示,在教師面向中,「老師具有同理心的」、「老師上課有趣」與「老師上課進度安排妥當」3題對課程滿意度具有顯著正向影響;在環境面向中,「此上課教室的空調溫度是合適的」與「此上課教室的光線是合適的」2題對課程滿意度具有顯著正向影響;在同儕面向中,「該堂課的同學跟老師互動良好」、「該堂課同學的學習氛圍良好」與「該堂課的同學資質不錯」3題對課程滿意度具有顯著正向影響。最後,本研究進而提出相關實務運用與討論。

Cour Associate Professor, Dept. of Tourism, Providence University se satisfaction is an important issue for universities and departments. However, few studies have systematically explored how teacher, environment, and classmate factors affect students' course satisfaction. Therefore, this study adapted the current scale and interviewed students to design the measure items. Purposive sampling was used to collect data in the eight courses. A total of 492 valid questionnaires were collected to examine the influences of teacher, environment, and classmate characteristics on course satisfaction. Confirmatory factor analysis results reveal that the measurement model has good reliability, validity, and fit. The results of structural equation modeling show that three factors including teacher, environment, and peers have significantly positive influence on students' course satisfaction. Furthermore, this study used multiple regression analysis to examine the impact of three factors' internal items on course satisfaction. As for the results of teacher factor analysis, three items of "The teacher is empathic," "The teacher's teaching style is interesting," and "The teacher's teaching schedule is well arranged," exert significantly positive impact on course satisfaction. With regard to the results of environment factor analysis, two items of "This classroom has appropriate temperature controls" and "This classroom has appropriate lighting quality," exert significantly positive impact on course satisfaction. As to the results of peers factor analysis, three items of "The classmates in this course have good interaction with the teacher," "The classmates in this course have good interaction with each other," and "The classmates in this course have not bad qualification" exert significantly positive impact on course satisfaction. Finally, implications of these findings for practical applications and discussions are also provided.
