科學教育研究的進展、困境與挑戰

Progress, Predicament and Challenges of Research in Science Education

摘要


物理教育的推展,不但涉及學校中老師和學生的教學互動、課程與教材的發展、以及考試和升學等實務工作,更涉及到物理教育研究、整體教育制度和國家教育政策等不同層面的問題。在這種整體的考量之下,物理教育研究自然而然是推展物理教育的重要一環。普遍而言,物理教育研究和科學教育研究,乃至於包含範圍更為廣泛的教育研究,在研究主題、研究方法和理論基礎等方面,有許多共通或類似之處。基於科學教育研究已是發展相當完整的領域,而且在中小學學校教育中,物理是自然科學的一部分,兩者的教育目標和教學方法一致,因此在本文中將先藉由介紹國內外科學教育研究的進展,其次從個人從事科學教育研究的經驗,檢視當前科學教育研究的困境與挑戰,期盼作為探討國內發展物理教育研究未來發展的參考。

The implementation of physics education involves a range of practices including the interactions of teachers and students at schools, the development of curriculum and teaching materials, and examination and entrance to schools at a higher level. In addition, it also involves important factors such as physics education research, the whole education system and national education policies. Apparently, physics education research plays an important role in the promotion of physics education. Generally speaking, there are many things in common between research efforts in physics education and science education, in terms of research topics, research methods, and theoretical perspectives. While physics education research is still a relatively young field of study, research in science education is well-established. In addition, especially at the K-12 school levels, physics is part of the subject matters in science, having aligned educational goals and pedagogy. Therefore, the author intends to introduce recent progress in science education research at first, and then to examine the predicaments and challenges of research in science education, based on personal experiences in the field of science education research. Hopefully, the discussions in this article will be referential for exploring the future development of physics education research in Taiwan.
