Flowers and butterflies have long depended on each other. The unspoken beauty is that the flower supplies a sip of nectar, and to get it, the butterfly brushes against the flower, transferring pollen so that the flower can reproduce. This paper presents practical aspects from work that author has performed in the course of fashion design. Using the abstract sense of "Butterfly and Flower" to reinterpret dress design, the designer created another new design possibility. Initiated by the basic clothing needs of human, the designer applied the innovation concept of "active association" and "alternating principle" from Habitual Domain, and transformed the color and pattern of "Butterfly and Flower" into apparel design. The purpose of this paper is to convey alternative reflections on the fashion aesthetics though the nature relationship of animal and plant. The designer hopes such design can inspire people to deep reflection.
