〈柬大王泊旱〉考釋四則

Philological Study of Four Phrases of "Jian Da Wang Bo Han"

摘要


本文對著錄於《上海博物館藏戰國楚竹書(四)》的〈柬大王泊旱〉提出四點考釋意見,其一:簡19「□」可讀為「胥」或「諝」,訓為「有才智」;「長子」意指「優秀子孫」;「君聖人胥(諝)良長子」是說太宰乃有才智又賢明的聖人子孫。其二:簡14「□」讀作「呻」,訓「嘆息」,「王仰而呻而泣,謂太宰……」描繪楚簡王仰頭呻吟後轉為低聲泣下,之後才跟太宰對話。其三:簡14「矦」讀為「兮」,是無義的句末語助詞,簡文「一人不能治政,而百姓以絕兮。」表達楚簡王之嘆。其四:簡13「方若肰里」讀為「方若如里」,「若如」有「如同」之意,「里」是五鄰或三百步見方的區域範圍,但「鄰里」之「里」的區域大小變動不定,不適合作為修郢郊的範圍基準,故以後說的可能性較大。

This article provides explanations of troublesome and hard to identify words found in ”Jian Da Wang Bo Han” which was published in ”Chu Bamboo Slips of the Warring States Period Collected in Shanghai Museum, vol. 4”. First, the character ”Cuo (□)” on slip number 19 should be read as ”Xu (胥)” or ”Xu (諝)”, and means ”intelligent”. The character ”Chang (倀)” should be read as ”Chang (長)”, means ”excellent”, and the phrase ”Chang Zi (長子)” should be understood as ”excellent descendants”. Second, the character ”Ren (□)” on slip number 14 should be read as ”Shen (呻)”, and means ”sigh”. Third, the character ”Hou (矦)” on slip number 14 should be read as ”Xi (兮)”,and should be understood as expletive of end of the sentence. Fourth, the phrase ”Fang Ruo Ran Li (方若肰里)” on slip number 13 should be read as ”ang Ruo Ru Li (方若如里)”, ”Ruo Ru (若如)” means ”as”, and ”Li (里)” should be understood as ”the range of five basic community units” or ”the range of three hundred paces square.”
