The research subjects are children attending the drama class in Cup Drama Education Center. The objective is to understand the effects the different phases of Applied Drama courses have on the children by investigating the degree of effect the designed drama courses have resulted in these children. The research compares the expected goals set forth for the premeditated courses by the instructor with a survey conducted on the parents. The survey was quantified, and the actual outcome and results analyzed. The children's drama course in this research consists of six phases. Each phase is conducted over a period of 12 weeks, one class a week, and 90 minutes each time. In the classes practical acting courses of Applied Drama are utilized in order to guide and initiate children's potentials, to cultivate their various abilities and to establish concepts of conducts in children. In doing so, the course challenges old experiences in each child, and intends to arouse their potentials through drama and games so as to construct the perceptibility of the body. Basic social and moral concepts are also acquired via role playing games. With the felt bodily experiences, the children will, in the mean time, be able to attain profound experiences in acting and art performance. This paper looks at the first to the third phases and into the fifth week of the fourth phase of the course. The results are collected and analyzed in order to explore to what degree the drama classes have on individual child, and if it is effective, the expected goals reached. The research will continue to follow up till the end of the sixth phase of the course. The results will be collected, analyzed and compared, and published.
